Unpopular opinion: Matt Bomer on Glee
I don’t even know why people are taking Finn’s side on this, really
Seriously, though.
“She had it coming” is not even a valid argument. It has nothing to do with outing someone else.
ok, my unpopular opinion today is
I don’t like that Blaine is getting too girly.
I’d point my reasons but when people want to hate and fight you with no arguments at all they just ignore that you actually have reasons, so I’m skipping that.
There, I said it.
[Glee 3x02 spoilers?… I think?] Sometimes I wonder why do I keep watching Glee
and an awkward silence is my answer lol
and then I tell myself “It’s all about the Klaine, the only thing they’ve got right”.
Man, my life is full of unpopular opinions. I just wish I don’t get anon hate for saying what I think, people tend to do that when you express your opinion, here in Tumblr.
Just don’t kill me.
1.- The whole “who should be Maria” thing: I think Rachel has to be Maria. But I get the point if they want Mercedes to take the role. I just think it’s unfair they want to make the whole fucking show right with just this one, and especially with this part, it’s like getting Tina to be Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl because you want her to get the lead role for once and make up for being neglected. You just don’t do that. It’s unprofessional.
I want Mercedes and Tina to get the spotlight they deserve, but not like this.
And for the record, I don’t even like Rachel anymore.
2.- Quinn has to be the most annoying teenager in history. Except she’s not a teenager anymore. She just behaves like a spoiled brat who hasn’t gone through hard stuff and whines about everything. But the fact is that she has gone through so much shit… I agree with everything Schue said, SHE NEEDS TO GROW UP. And behaving like a bipolar teen is not the solution.
Also, she looks awesome with that new look lol
3.- I loved the ending of the episode, it’s like season 1 all over again with cliffhanger and all. I loved it. We need more of this kind of angst, it’s different and refreshing and real. And as expected, it comes from the only real couple there. Klaine.
4.- Kurt is my favorite character in this show, but he needs to be less selfish, a relationship is not a one-sided thing, you just can’t be the only one getting the good part of it. Blaine has sacrificed a lot for the two of them.
And they need to make Blaine a little bit less perfect.
Cause he’s becoming a professional life ruiner at this pace. Seriously. Ok, he already is.
Although I think that making him less perfect can’t be possible because last season when he was ~exploring and finally finding out he was ~totally 100% gay we almost killed him for being stupid and kissing Rachel or whatever. You know we did guys. We all snapped. Chaos. It was funny though.
It’s their fault for making the character so dreamy. What?
And I want him to be Tony. It would be interesting.
Also, I can’t stand Finn, but that’s old news. He annoys me to no end.
And Puck is my man. He’s so adorable and flawed. His “I don’t care about you, I care about her” made my heart jump. Such a daddy. He’s trying hard.
That’s… all, I think.

unpopular opinion..
i liked the lack of finchel

I have a question for you guys.
For being a canon couple, Sorato seems to be one of the more unpopular pairings in Digimon, at least to the English-speaking fans. If you search for Sorato on Tumblr, Livejournal or DeviantArt, you’re likely to find a lot of fans, but almost an equal amount of hate.
Honestly, when I watched the series when it first aired on YTV (Yep. Canadian here.) I was hoping for Sora to end up with Tai in the end. Now that I’ve rewatched both seasons both in English and Japanese, although I still love the English dub, I roll my eyes at some of the changes they made to seemingly shoehorn any hints of a budding romance between Tai and Sora. It seems to me, that in the Japanese version, any hint of Taiora is pretty one-sided. Sora may or may not have feelings for Tai that he’s a little too oblivious to pick up on.
I’m just getting a little tired of all the hate. Like, “Sora is such a whore/heartbreaker!”, “Matt stole his best friend’s girl!”, “The Matt/Sora pairing came out of nowhere!” when, if you watch the original Japanese episodes, aren’t really true.
Are there any unpopular opinions that you, my fellow Sorato fans, may have regarding this? Anything about the English fandom that bothers you?
ALL OF THIS. FOR REAL.
You can all stop hating on my girl right now, she’s awesome, a BAMF and ends up with the guy she loved, ok?
Oh, and you’re right about the English-speaking fans, because as far as I know, when I watched (like a million years ago, bro, I feel super old) Digimon, Sorato was as popular as Taiora (I’d say even more popular)You have every right to hate on canon pairings (I mean, I don’t like Harry/Ginny. Come at me bro) but at least find good reasons.
Fellow Harry Potter fan! (I’m a Gryffindor in Pottermore!) I completely understand what you mean. I’m not a Harry/Ginny fan either (I prefer Harry/Luna), but I accept Harry/Ginny as canon. It’s Ms. Rowling’s universe, so she knows the hearts of her characters inside and out. I may not seek out Harry/Ginny fiction, pout at their romantic moments on screen or claim that Ms. Rowling is wrong and that Harry would have been happier with Luna. I just prefer Harry/Luna.
That’s pretty much how I approach most pairings in fandom.
Canon? Okay, I accept it even if I’m not a fan. It’s what the creator wanted.
Non-canon? I’m cool with it as long as you don’t say it “should have been canon” or that the creator doesn’t know their own characters.
As I have observed, most of the Tai/Sora hints were rewritten for the English version. There used to be an excellent argument for Sorato in our links section (“Obligatory Sorato Rant”), but it seems to be dead. (I’m not the first owner of this blog, so I didn’t add those links. I just didn’t feel the need to change them when I took over.) One of the points made in the rant was the script of the Tai/Sora scene in the Christmas episode. In the English version, Tai tried to ask Sora out on a date, but she admitted that she was hoping to spend time with Matt after the concert instead, hence, turning him down. In the Japanese version, Tai simply noticed that Sora was waiting outside the auditorium with a gift for Matt, but was a bit too nervous to go inside. He gave her a few words of encouragement and the little push she needed to take that first step.
What people seem to forget is the show’s demographic. It’s shonen. While they do have an audience of both genders of many ages, their target audience is boys aged 7-13. And while love and romance are sometimes present in shows of this genre, it’s almost always overshadowed by the main plot (fighting evil, courage, friendship, getting stronger, the power of good). This means that if the writers were planning on pairing any of their characters together, there wouldn’t be a flowery, heart-pounding confession scene like we see in shojo. They chose to show Sora and Matt’s relationship develop mostly behind the scenes, but also through the eyes of a mutual friend: Tai, the hero of the series.
What baffles me are the fans that call Sora a “heartbreaker”/”slut” and Matt a “homewrecker”/”girlfriend stealer.” … Were we watching the same series? Do we not remember who the bearers of the crests of Love and Friendship are? The two people (save for Yolei and Davis) who embodied those traits the most? Sora would never be reckless with someone’s heart, much less her own, and Matt would never try to squeeze his way between Tai and Sora if he knew there was something going on between his friends. True, Sora and Matt both had trouble with understanding why they were given those crests, but they, like the other children, overcame those issues by the end of season one. That understanding of themselves was the reason why they were able to make their crests glow. By the time season two rolled around, they were more mature, well-adjusted teenagers. All of the doubt and self-discovery was in the hands of the new team.
To wrap this up, Sora and Matt were both single when they fell for each other. Any disappointment for the lack of Taiora in season two should be directed at the English writing staff and not the characters themselves. If you still prefer Taiora over Sorato, that’s perfectly fine. I’m not here to convert anyone, but rather to dispel a bit of the hate.
Ship on, shippers, ship on. Just be kind.
YOU. ARE. MY. HERO.

Now watching “Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things”
Robb: I’m not your boy, Lannister. I’m Lord of Winterfell while my father is away.
Tyrion: And you might learn a lord’s courtesy.
*************************
Of course, Tyrion, because you’re so courteous.

Also, I propose we play a little drinking game.
We get a shot every time Robb is called a “boy” and a double shot if he’s called “green boy”.
LOL It shall be fun.
oh, can you tell I hate the Lannisters yet?
I won’t sit here reading endless hate for Tullys and Starks and eternal love for the gold-shitting house just because they’re pretty and rich.
Ok, I don’t hate Tyrion but I certainly do not love him and worship him.

If you don’t think Quinn is gay reblog this.

Unpopular Opinion: Glee - When people start to freak out about NOTHING
I hate the previous days and when “spoilers” start to come out and when they’re filming because this fandom freaks out about EVERYTHING, especially about the songs.
“Chris is singing xxxx song…. OMG KURT’S BREAKING UP WITH BLAINE NOOOO”
or whatever.
not every song in Glee is actually performed in a context, right?
I do remember when they said Kurt/Warblers were singing Candles, and everyone was so upset because it was a break-up song.
I know we have an epic troll as showrunner but let’s not freak out that much… yet.
Although, if Murphy is really making Klaine have a pointless dramatic fight…

Keep those for Finchel and stop blowing holes in my ship, you troll.
