The Doctor Who themed wedding at the 2012 Kansas City Renaissance Festival. The groom was the Tenth Doctor and the bride was River Song. They exchanged rings from a TARDIS box and did a handfasting with a bow tie that was taken from the Eleventh Doctor. Reading from psychic paper, they vowed that they would remain companions through all of their regenerations and that no Dalek, Ood, or Sontaran would ever separate them. Martha Jones and Amy Pond were among the guests and everyone was instructed to keep an eye on the Weeping Angels waiting in the side aisle.

Materialization noises sounded when the bride and groom exited the TARDIS and Murray Gold’s I Am the Doctor heralded the end of the ceremony.

And I know there are lots of details that I’ve forgotten, but this was the wedding to top all weddings. IT. WAS. AWESOME.
