  • I wish GRRM had written every episode, that’s how perfect this was, it’s almost made up for the disappointments i’ve suffered through in past weeks. Alas, he really needs to finish ASOIAF so it just can’t happen.
  • I was really happy with how the river scene was adapted with the single boat and the wildfire, it was just so ominous and fit the mood perfectly.
  • This episode was also one of the few times i have found lena heady’s performance absolutely spot on. Drunken Cersei in Maegor’s Holdfast was PERFECTION. Just as in the books, this scene was the part where we first get to see that she’s kind of crazy.
  • Can I just declare my undying love for Sophie Turner? SHE IS THE PERFECT SANSA. Just— my perfect princess. I don’t have words, all the Sansa scenes were amazing.
  • Sansa/Sandor scene!!!!!!! NO WORDS
  • Sandor in general my poor baby.
  • Also i loved the Bron/Hound dynamic
  • PETER DINKLAGE AS TYRION
  • TYRION WITH SHAE AND EVERYONE 
  • I REALLY LOVE TYRION
  • Joffery is king psycho pussy basically running away from battle 
  • i actually like that Stannis was part of the invasion, like the stuff at the end. PERFECT.
  • And omg the last scene with the sweet sleep or whatever they called it in the show and tommen being adorable and cersei being crazy and then BAM LORAS AND THE TYRELLS AND YOU THINK TOMMEN WILL DIE BUT THEN BAM AGAIN AND IT’S TYWIN FUCKING LANNISTER and the battle’s over.
  • ALSO the music with sansa singing the mother’s hymn and the soldiers singing the Rains of Castomere. SuCh good touches.
  • SIGH WHY CAN’T EVERY EPISODE BE LIKE THIS

I can’t even describe my emotions right now. It was perfect, so well done, so much like the book, I’m so glad Martin got to write this episode.
